Late News Deadlines and Due Dates (No Deadline Extensions):
  • Deadline for obtaining Late News Abstract Reference Number on-line: March 15, 2004
  • Deadline for Late News Abstract Submission (15 Hardcopies to PMMI): March 16, 2004
  • Late News Author Notification (by e-mail): March 24, 2004
  • Deadline for Late News Technical Digest Manuscript Submission on-line: March 29, 2004
  • Deadline for Late News 4 Hardcopies and Electronic discs to PMMI: March 30, 2004
LATE-NEWS papers are limited to 2 pages and must follow the style and format of submissions in the Late News Paper Submission Sample.

Acceptance criteria for LATE-NEWS papers are the same as for regular contributed papers, with the additional consideration that the work be of sufficient impact that it warrants rapid communication via the late news process.

Due to time constraints, the Technical Program Chairman and a Technical Program Subcommittee will decide which papers are to be included as Late News. Accepted papers, as submitted, will be included in the conference technical digest and will be placed either in one of the oral sessions, or in the contributed poster session.

Follow the easy 2 Step Process to submit your Late News Abstract

Please submit your LATE NEWS Abstract for arrival to PMMI (before or on March 16th /No extensions) as follows:
  1. Complete and submit the Late News and Open Poster Submission form to receive your Late News Abstract Reference Number. The Late News abstract submission form will be available on-line through March 15 at midnight Pacific Standard Time. Please prepare your paper in the format stated in the Sample document. This format is also the format used for the final manuscript printed in the Technical Digest.

  2. Send fifteen (15) original hardcopies to (DUE DATE is March 16th): Hilton Head 2004 Workshop C/o PMMI 2320 6th Avenue San Diego, CA 92101-1643 619-232-9499
IMPORTANT - When preparing your Late News Abstract - please remember that if your paper is selected to be presented at the meeting, your printed will be printed in the technical digest and CD ROM. You will have two days to review your paper and make any minor changes, remove the reference number and re-submit if for final printing in the technical digest. Since this will be such a quick turn-around for submission into the Technical Digest, please download this copyright form and in hopes that your paper is accepted, please start your process of obtaining your copyright signatures today.
