Award Winners


The upcoming MMB 2009 Conference will introduce three (3) new awards for presenters. Winners of these awards will receive a certificate.

MMB 2009 Best Student Abstract Award
The MMB 2009 Student Award is designed to recognize excellence among its student presenters. The principal author of the abstract must be a student to be eligible for this competition. This competition is open to all abstracts submitted in the Initial Abstract and Late News Abstract submission processes.

The abstract will be judged on:
  1. Originality
  2. Scientific Significance
  3. Quality
The interdisciplinary aspect of the abstract is also very important and must include microtechnology with medicine AND/OR biology.

MMB 2009 Interdisciplinary Award
The MMB 2009 Interdisciplinary Award is designed to recognize the best abstract addressing and linking the aspects of each of the principal disciplines or themes of the MMB 2009 Conference, i.e.: Microtechnology, Medicine AND Biology, in an efficient manner. This competition is open to all abstracts submitted in the Initial Abstract and Late News Abstract submission processes.

The abstract will be judged on:
  1. Originality
  2. Scientific Significance
  3. Quality
MMB Achievement Award
The MMB 2009 Achievement is designed to recognize the best abstract with the most outstanding results. This competition is open to all abstracts submitted in the Initial Abstract and Late News Abstract submission processes.

  3. Quality
