How to Get to Lucerne
Lucerne is situated on the main route running north to south and is connected with the Swiss railway network. Direct fast trains link Lucerne to the international airports in Zurich, Basel and Geneva. For international attendees, we have found it is best to fly into Zurich, approximately 65 km away, and take the approximately 1-hour train to Lucerne.

By Train:

Zurich Airport to Lucern via Train
There are trains to/from Lucerne (Luzern) to/from Zurich Airport (Zurich Flughafen) with one transfer at Zurich Hauptbahnhof (Zurich HB or Central Station), which are approximately a one-hour journey. You may plan your journey on the train via SBB's website at www.sbb.ch/en/ or a timetable can be downloaded here (PDF)

Price:
1st Class ticket from Zurich Airport to Lucerne is CHF 45.00 one-way and CHF 90.00 round-trip.
A 2nd Class train ticket is CHF 27.00 one-way and CHF 54.00 round-trip.

The Zurich Airport station is near the "B" Gates and tickets may be purchased at the SBB service desk in the airport. Trains from the Zürich Airport to Lucerne leave at :11 and :44 minutes past the hour. The first train from the Zürich Airport to Lucerne leaves at 05:02 and the last train leaves at 0:41.
